Success & Hard Truth

CA Care has been around for the past twenty-seven years. We are happy to say that we have helped many cancer patients from Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Germany, Singapore, besides fellow Malaysians. Why did they come to us? Most often, it was because medical science had failed them. They had no other options to go to. In spite of our success there are many skeptics who would just say that what we were and are doing are not scientifically proven! It is just quackery and I am nothing more than a snake oil peddler.

Over the years, I have learned that it is no use or waste of time trying to change or convince people. If you believe in what we do, that is fine. If you don’t believe, that is also okay with me. It is your life, and you should be the author of your own story!

On my part I have one and only one responsibility, that is to be truthful in what I wrote in my blogs and books when documenting the stories of my patients, I did not “cook” things up. I must ensure that these stories are true, and not fakes. Whether you believe in these stories or not it is entirely up to you.

Let me quote what Jimmie Holland wrote in her book The Human Side of Cancer:

· People have their strongly held beliefs about the use of alternative and complementary therapies.

· Disbelievers remain disbelievers, and believers continue to believe.

· I have learned from experience that trying to influence strongly held beliefs is exhausting … You believe or you don’t.

Over the years, I have come to the same conclusion. To those who believe in what we do and need our help – welcome. We will do our best to help you. For those who don’t believe in what we do, please find someone else to help you.

In July 1999, I was invited to be one of four the panelist in a live talk show on Complementary Medicine on Cancer, which was aired on the national television (Global, TV 2, RTM). The host posed this question to me: People tend to think of complementary medicine as quackery or hocus-pocus. What is your response to that?

This was my reply twenty-four years ago, and this is also my reply today as you read this book:

  • Complementary medicine is not quackery. It is based on experience. It is based on knowledge accumulated over thousands of years. I do not believe that technology by itself can solve this problem of cancer. To my mind, we must look at it from a point of view that is different from what is being conventionally done.
  • Well, the conventional method is to destroy the tumour. The methods of medical science need not be the best in this world.
  • I am a scientist with twenty-six years of experience teaching science, and I feel I know what science is. I feel that I am fortunate and lucky to be involved in traditional medicine.
  • If anyone wants to accuse me of being a quack, he must think twice because I understand science. I always tell cancer patients: See your doctors. But one thing, you should know the limits of medical science. Doctors are no more infallible as much as anybody else.

As the discussion heated up, the host shot another question: You had patients who came to see you and they have been doing well, have responded you said. Do you think that you are just lucky and whoever have come to see you were also just lucky? Is that what it is all about?

  • Alright, let us talk about luck. If I have helped one person and he is OK, you can call that luck. If he brings along another friend next week and I can help again, you might call that coincidence. If you bring another person and another person and another person and it adds up to a thousand, do you want to say all that is due to luck? Do you want to say that it is a fluke? My result with cancer people is not luck. That is God-given.

In life, we all live according to our belief system guided by our so called “intelligence” and upbringing. I understand that, and I am not offended if you think I am a quack. That is okay.

Let me share with you my conversation with Gong (not his real name) from Jakarta. Gong was a successful businessman. So, by right he had a lot of common sense otherwise he would not be able to succeed in life. When his wife, Suri, was down with lung cancer, Gong brought her to the “best doctor in the best hospital” in Singapore for treatment. But the outcome of this scientifically proven cancer treatment failed miserably. The daughter said: The oncologist surrendered … she gave up!

When Suri was brought to us, she was in more than a “vegetable state” not knowing what was going on around her.  Listen to what Gong said:

  • I regretted. Money could not buy any cure! For all the treatments – radiotherapy, Iressa, Tarceva, chemotherapy and Sutent – the total cost came to about 2 milyar rupiah (1 milyar is 1,000,000,000 – nine zeros) which is about S$300,000.
  • It is okay to spend that kind of money if there was a cure. But there was no cure. I regretted for going to Singapore for the treatment.
  • Let me confess. I was full of remorse. I regretted because even before she went for chemo, my relative in Penang had suggested that we come to CA Care and try your herbs. I refused to entertain that idea.
  • In my mind, that is all hocus pocus. How can herbs be better than the doctors in Singapore? Herbs are just traditional stuff and if they are that good then all doctors will have to close shop. I dismissed the idea of taking herbs as being nonsensical.  I say again, I regretted this very much.
  • The doctors told her to eat anything – to make her stronger. And when she regained her strength, she got “hammered” with the chemo again. The cycle went on and one. Where do we go from there? On reflection, I begun to see how illogical it is.
  • My wife requested that I leave her to die. She did not want to suffer any more.
  • At that point, a distant relative in Penang called us and suggested that we try CA Care.

Chris: When you first came to CA Care, did you ever believe in what we do? I made it very clear to you from the very beginning that I cannot cure you.

  • What you told me that night was most sensible. Stop taking all the bad food that encourage cancer and then use the herbs to help the body against cancer. This makes a lot of sense to me.
  • We gave her the herbs for a week. She spat it all out onto our face. My relative talked and joked with her. When she was more relaxed, we held her down, squeezed her nose and forced the herbs into her throat. After three days of doing that, she had less headaches. We had more confidence in your herbs.
  • I would like to say thank you so much for helping us. I don’t know what to say. We have been doing this therapy every day and you didn’t even charge us (broke down and cried). If you want me to worship you, I will do that.

To this I replied: Do not worship me, worship God and give thanks to Him. It is not me who do all these. I was just doing my best to helpMy two children are doing well with their Ph.Ds. What we are doing here is not about money. In life, money is not all important.

It is hard to do “good” for others. If you have not experienced what it is like to get cancer, you cannot understand what we are doing and why we are doing this work.

  • I understand. I have gone through this suffering for two and half years now. I know what you mean. That is why I am spreading words around about my wife. Many people saw my wife’s improvement.

My job is now done. I have nothing else to offer. Now it is your turn to take care and heal her. Never, never ever make any mistake again. Second, take care of her diet well.

The Ancient Chinese have known and lived by their traditional medicine for thousands of years. To them, the question of whether what they have been doing is scientific or not does not arise at all nor is of any concern. To them, what matters is that the herbs work.

Let me conclude: Yes, herbs work or are effective even after medical treatments have failed the patients, and the oncologists have given up on them! Our CA Care Therapy restored their health up to this day! Is that quackery and something that you cannot accept or believe?

Case 1: If there is only a one percent chance of recovery, I will tell you.

In August 2002, I received a fax (no email yet at that time) from a radiographer working in a hospital in Hong Kong. Let us call her SE.

Dear Dr. Teo,

I am forty-four years old. I suffered from breast cancer – infiltrating ductal carcinoma, in August 1993. Total right mastectomy was performed, secondary to the bones was detected at the same time. Twelve chemo-injections were given over a period of six months. At the same time, radiotherapy was given to the spine and ribs. Two doses of Strontium were given after chemotherapy. Tamoxifen and Orimeten were taken orally daily all these years.

Everything was in stable condition until August 2001, when secondary to both lobes of liver was discovered. Chemotherapy – FAC, six injections were given followed by eight doses of Taxotere.

Now both my lower limbs are swollen. I suffer from pleural effusion at the same time. I started on oral chemotherapy – Xeloda on 10 July 2002. My limbs feel numb. I feel tired easily and my heart sometimes beat irregularly. I feel short of breath at times.

I hope Dr. Teo will help me.

I felt sad after reading this fax. How could this be? All the weapons of war against breast cancer had been used and she was not winning the war. She was getting worse. But the most important thing for me to do now is not to dwell on her failure but to figure out how to help someone so far away in Hong Kong.

Luckily, this patient had a sister in Singapore who had a friend in Penang. So, this Penang friend took it upon himself to help send the herbs to Hong Kong. Problem solved!

I prescribed herbs for her breast, bone, and liver problems. She responded well to our therapy. I monitored her progress by the faxes that she sent me on a regular basis.

We have been helping SE with her cancer for so many years but did not know anything more about her other than reading her faxes (and later emails). Then in mid-2008, after communicating with SE for six years, my wife, some friends and I flew to Hong Kong to meet SE for the first time.  We had a long chat with her.

Watch this video.

Chris: Now that you are well so to say – are you healthy?

Patient: Yes, healthy – because I trust you! When I felt there was something wrong, I said to myself: No, I am quite good. I have been taking the herbs properly you know!

You live a normal life? Is there any pain or anything?

P: My heart – still there is palpitation. That was after my chemo.

It was a long journey for you – it was already thirteen years?

P: No, fifteen years!

In those fifteen years of journey, were there times when you felt that you were sinking? That there was no more hope?

P: When I first got it (cancer) that time. I went to see the doctor. He told me: You already got bone mets (metastasis) you know. Then I had chemo. It (cancer) spread and spread very fast. Every month I had bone scan and there was spot here and there. I was so worried. I asked the doctor: How? How to live in such a situation? Is there a hope that I would survive or recover? The doctor told me: If there is only a one percent chance of recovery, I will tell you.

What?

P: If there is a one percent chance of recovery, I will tell you!

He was telling that you were hopeless.

P: Ya, I was so stunned and did not know what to do. I felt really sad. My youngest daughter was only two years old. I was so worried. I cried.

After that you took the herbs. Did the herbs help you?

P: I think so! The doctor had already stopped my Xeloda. I was on drug holiday. No improvement after all those chemo.

Did the doctor say there was no improvement?

P: Not much improvement.  I know, indirectly they were telling me they gave up.

Did you feel better and better with the herbs?

P: Yes, I went for the scan, and everything was okay. It did not deteriorate.

Did they give you any more medication?

P: No, no.

8 January 2013: After eleven years.

Dear Dr. Chris,

I have been doing fine all along except for having vertigo and headache on and off. Once I developed headache I cannot even drink and keep on vomiting till the following day.  I will be alright after about two days without any medication. But sometimes, I have got to be admitted due to serious vomiting … my doctor told me that my left middle ear is the cause of my giddiness, and it may be due to the side effects of the chemo years back.

13 August 2018: After sixteen years.

Oh, I just visited Singapore and came back. My last blood test was in May this year. It is all normal. So far, I am doing well. Thanks a lot for seeing me years ago and if you drop by Hong Kong, do contact me.

2023: As of this writing (twenty-one years). SE is still doing well. She just sent an ex-colleague who has breast cancer to see us. SE is now helping her daughter in taking care of her grandchildren!

Case 2: Baby Boy with cancer of the testis twenty-three years ago!

Baby Boy was one year and three months old. His right testis swelled. He had high temperature on and off, often accompanied by high fever. A blood test indicated LDH at 740 and AFP at more than 350. A CT scan showed a mass in the left abdomen.

Inguinal orchiectomy (removal of the testis) was performed on 20 August 2000. Baby Boy was referred to a hospital in Singapore for further management. The oncologist suggested chemotherapy. The grandfather said: This recommendation was like a big rock falling on our head. Baby Boy’s mother was a dentist. The family decided not to accept chemotherapy and further medical intervention. They searched the web and found CA Care.

4 October 2000. The family came to CA Care and was started on the herbs. At that time Baby Boy’s condition was good. He only had a bit of pain, otherwise he was a normal, active boy. After taking herbs, Baby Boy passed out gas that smelled like rotten egg.

4 January 2001.  A blood test indicated AFP = 1.48 ng/ml and LDH = 528 (normal 150-500)

29 January 2001. A CT scan indicated: Tidak tampak tumour abdomen — no mass seen in the abdomen. The liver, gall bladder, pancreas, spleen, and kidneys were all normal.

His father wrote:  He has been a healthy and attractive boy.

23 February 2001.  Baby Boy was on gradma’s lap, surrounded by mom and dad while grandpa was talking to me. They were all in Penang. Baby Boy was a cute and active boy. Grandma fed him herbs using the milk bottle. He took it without complaints!

Comment: In Question 12, I presented the miraculous healing of Baby Girl. Now, this is another miraculous healing. It was indeed very satisfying to know that Baby Boy benefited from the herbs. Praise God for His wondrous mercy. Our tears flowed with great joy to witness God’s grace. Thank you, Lord. The Almighty is Great. You may want to ask: What has happened to Baby Boy now? We never get to hear from his family members again after their first visit to us.

August 2019 – nineteen years later:  Baby Boy’s aunty came to seek our help. She told us that Baby Boy is now studying in the university to become a medical doctor! He didn’t take any other medicine besides our herbs and had recovered fully. He grew up with no health problems. This aunty was also the one who helped take care of Baby Boy when he was a baby.

October 2023 – twenty-three years later: Another member of Baby Boy’s family came to seek our help. We were told that Baby Boy is now a medical doctor! Praise the Lord for this blessing.

Ask this question: What could have happened if Baby Girl (in Question 12) and Baby Boy were to undergo chemotherapy as recommended by their doctors?

Also ask this question: Would you subject your baby to chemotherapy if she/he has cancer?

Case 3: He opted for herbal therapy after his two-year-chemo-treatment failed.

Siew lives in Penang.

  • In 1996, he had high fevers on and off. There was also a lump on the left side of his neck. He was twenty years old then.
  • In February 1997, he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. He underwent chemotherapy at the government hospital.
  • In 2000, he seemed to be doing well and was not on any medication.
  • In March 2002, Siew came to seek our help because he felt heaviness in his head, he was tired and there were swellings on the right side of his neck.

I suggested that Siew go back to his doctor at the government hospital for further medical treatment. Siew flatly refused. He told us that the doctor wanted to do a biopsy on the lump. He also knew that he would most likely have to undergo chemotherapy again. Siew said that in the past he had been very lucky to get out of the hospital alive.

While in the hospital receiving treatment, he saw many patients, who were on chemotherapy like him. They did not make it and died. He was probably the few lucky ones who survived.

I respected Siew’s decision to opt for herbs instead of chemotherapy. I cautioned him that the lumps in his neck may not go away. And there would be no guarantee that he would be better either. Siew and his wife understood the risks he was taking.

Siew felt better after one week on the herbs.  His head did not feel heavy anymore. The lumps in his neck seemed to loosen up and there were no more pulling sensations. However, he still felt tired.

After about two months on the herbs, Siew noticed that the swelling in  the neck seemed to increase in size. Also, there were additional lumps. However, Siew’s health was good.

After about a year on herbs, Siew reported that he had less episodes of fevers compared to previous time.

At an earlier occasion, Siew showed us there were three lumps forming a loose cluster in his neck. But after taking the herbs, two lumps had disappeared. The remaining lump had become smaller.

Since the time Siew decided to abandon medical intervention and came to us for help, he took our herbs very religiously. He kept to our recommended diet. Siew appeared well and did not suffer any problem.

Seven years later: 12 April 2009. I had a short chat with Siew and his wife.

Chris: You look good. You first came in July 2000?

Siew: Yes. There was a lump on my neck. I went to the government hospital (GH) for my chemotherapy.

How long was your chemotherapy?

S: About two years, in and out of hospital.

Wife: After that the cancer came back. In one and a half years, there was a big lump again.

In these seven years, on the herbs, did you have any problems?

S:  Not really. Sometimes I may have a bit of fever.

W: Very seldom now. Last time, it was very often.

You said, after the chemo, there was a recurrence?

W: The doctor wanted him to go for biopsy. But he ran away. (Everybody laughed).

The doctor recommended chemo?

W: I brought him out of the hospital.

S: She brought me home. She helped me run away.

What made you do that?

W: We already know that it is cancer. What is the point of doing another biopsy? It does not make sense.  That was how I thought then. So, I brought him here. I didn’t like the idea of disturbing the lump. He did not want to do any more chemotherapy as he suffered badly when he had his chemo before.

Was chemotherapy so terrible?

W: He even fainted on the road at one time.

S:  I blacked out – but it was only for a short period of time. It was during my chemotherapy days.

Twenty-one years later: In July 2023, a man walked into our centre. I could not recognise him! He was Siew! After twenty-one years he is just doing great. Praise the Lord!

Case 4: He had stroke after chemotherapy.

In 2007, Eng underwent an angioplasty procedure. In July 2009, he suffered from indigestion, nausea, and later vomited blood. A biopsy indicated large cell, B-cell type gastric non- Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (NHL). Eng was then seventy-five years old. He underwent chemotherapy with modified CHOP – cyclophosphamide + Vincristine + Epirubicin and Prednisolone. Medical records indicated he received a lower dosage due to his past medical history. He suffered the following severe side effects after just one cycle of chemotherapy.

  1. Nausea.
  2. Vomiting.
  3. Fevers, temperature 38.1 C.
  4. Slow heartbeat (junctional bradycardia).
  5. Hardening (consolidation) of the right lung.
  6. Stroke (left thalamus infarction).
  7. Uncontrolled hypertension.

As a result of the above problems, he had no strength and was unable to urinate. This was the remark written on his medical report: 20 December 2009 – In view of patient’s poor tolerance to chemo and the lesion is localized within the stomach, patient was referred for radiotherapy.

Eng was asked to undergo twenty-five times of radiotherapy. He refused the treatment. Eng’s daughter came to seek our help.

24 January 2010: After one week on the herbs, his appetite and bowel movements improved. He could talk with a louder voice. But he still had difficulty with urination.

29 January 2010: No more nausea, every day he moved his bowels, and he was able to walk better. Before the herbs he was only able to stand up for a while.

5 March 2010: Health improved. He could walk. Appetite improved. Swelling of both legs were gone. He was able to urinate. For the first time, his daughter brought her father to meet us.

9 December 2011: He was doing fine – almost two years since he started taking the herbs.

Case 5: Terminal, vegetable-state patient back to life!

Poh, fifty-two-year-old female, had a tumour in her distal sigmoid colon. She underwent surgery. The cancer was staged as Duke’s C. About two weeks after surgery, Poh underwent twenty-five times radiotherapy and at the same time took the oral chemo-drug, Xeloda.

Within a week after taking Xeloda, Poh became uncomfortable. Her heartbeat was rapid, and she had difficulty breathing. The doctor stopped her Xeloda and replaced it with UFT (tegaful-uracil). Before Poh could even finish a course of UFT, her legs weakened, and her entire body had lost strength. She could not walk and had to be confined to a wheelchair.

Poh was under palliative care at a nursing home run by an NGO. She was indeed in bad shape. She was on morphine and had to lie down in bed unable to move by herself. If she was to get up, she would feel breathless. At one time, she had to be admitted into the ICU for twelve days.

Poh’s husband and son came to seek our help. With tears in his eyes, Poh’s husband related his wife’s story. He said:

  • After the surgery, my wife was alright. She was normal – she could walk around perfectly, could eat, and did the normal chores in the house. It was only after she started radiotherapy and took the oral chemo-drugs that her condition deteriorated. This happened within about two months after the surgery.

The family spent about RM50,000 for her treatment. With anger and frustration, her husband said: To spend money is OK, but how could she end up like this. In total, Poh stayed one month in the hospital and another month in Pure Lotus Home existing as a living vegetable. There is no doubt that this episode was the most upsetting for anybody.

The first thing I suggested to the family was to move her out of the Lotus Home and bring her home. I suggested that the family take care of her diet, for eating anything you like is never the answer for cancer. \

The family brought Poh home the next day. Poh was prescribed herbs.

What happened after Poh started taking the herbs?

  • 4 November 2005: Poh was in a “vegetable” state in Pure Lotus Home, unable to even move her head or legs. She was brought home and was started on the herbs.
  • 11 November 2005: She passed out black stools, sometimes she had diarrhoea. For the first few days, she felt tired. Her feet were cold. Her appetite improved, and she was more alert and there was more oomph when she talked. After one week on the herbs, Poh was able to get up from her bed and walked ten steps with the help of her husband! Her daughter said she was thrilled when she was able to stand up.
  • 25 November 2005: Feelings in both legs started to come back. Previously, both of her legs had no feelings. If provided with support, she was able to hold on to it and got up by herself. Previously, she was unable to even turn her head or move her legs.
  • 11 December 2005: She could sit up for at least an hour – if too long, she felt tired. She was able to get up from bed by herself. If given something to hold on to, she was able to stand up by herself.
  • 13 January 2006: She had more strength. She could move around the house using a walking frame. She could do all her personal chores without help – bathing, dressing, etc.
  • 3 February 2006: It was a great surprise to see Poh walking slowly into our centre with the help of a walking frame.

Poh’s health was restored. One day, she visited the Pure Lotus Home, and the nurse was “shocked” to see her well. After that we did not get to see Poh again!

Case 6: No hope. My mother could only last a day or a week. Longest three months.

Ama was fifty-nine years old when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She underwent a total hysterectomy plus omentectomy. After the surgery, Ama had chemotherapy.

Watch this video.

Chris: Ama, did you suffer during the chemo?

Ama: Yes, I vomited. I had pains throughout my body. I was bald. My hands and feet felt numb. Now, I still have pain in my chest. I cannot sleep well and wake up at about 3 a.m. My legs feel numb, and I also have pain at the operation area.

I prescribed herbs for Ama. She took the herbs and felt better.

One year later: I had a chat with Ama’s daughter and son.

What did the doctor say about your mother?

Daughter: Actually, the doctor told us that the cancer had already spread to her lungs. My mother was scheduled to go for another twelve cycles of chemo. Earlier she already had six cycles and stopped. My mother did not want to go for any more chemo. That was the time when we came to see you. I know the doctor well. The doctor knows that my mother is taking herbs. The doctor said: No problem, continue with the herbs but make sure to come back for routine check-up.

Before you started her on the chemo, what did the doctor say about the chances of recovery?

D: The doctor said there is NO hope. My mother could only last a week, may be just a day but the longest would be three months.

Before doing the chemo, the doctor had already told you there was no hope?

D: Yes, and we did not want to do the chemo, but the doctor insisted that we must do the chemo. Anything can happen if we don’t do the chemo (whatever that means!).

Did she suffer from the chemo?

D: She vomited for three days. Her sense of smell became very sensitive. In the bathroom, she could not stand the smell of soap. When we cooked rice, she could not stand the smell of cooked rice. The veins in her arm became blue black. The nails were also black. Now, after the herbs, everything is back to normal.

Son: We know nothing about chemo. So, we followed everything that the doctor wanted us to do.

Seven years later, in June 2013:  I sat down with Ama for a short chat.

How are you doing Ama?

Ama: I am fine. Can eat, can sleep, no problem. I just returned from India after visiting relatives there. Sometimes, I still have pain at the rib cage. But only sometimes.

You work too hard?

Daughter: Yes, doing all the household chores at home.

If you don’t work hard, any pain?

A: No pain.

After 12 years: Ama, are you healthy or not?

Ama: I just recovered from a mild stroke. I could not lift my left hand. I also could not hold anything with that hand.

What about your face?

A: No, only my left hand and left leg. Difficult to move. I went to the General Hospital. They treated me and I am now okay.

Not long ago, the mother of my friend who took care of our computer passed away. After one shot of chemo, she had pain in her leg. She went home and died. Ama, please be careful and take care. Don’t work too hard.

Case 7: Her German oncologist wrote: A patient of mine, Mrs. ML has consulted you and has had great success with the herbal tea and capsules you gave her.

On the last day of 2017, I received an email from ML, a Malaysian lady who went to study in Germany and later stayed back to work there. She wanted to fly home and follow our therapy. This was what happened to her.

  • December 2016 –ML was diagnosed with pleomorphic sarcoma which arises from the blood vessels. The tumour was near her heart, growing from the right upper pulmonary vein through the mitral valve into the left ventricle of her heart.
  • ML underwent sternotomy to remove the tumour. This is a surgery which involves the cracking open of the sternum or breastbone in the centre of chest. A second sternotomy was done to stop internal bleeding and to remove a hematoma.
  • January to June 2017  ML underwent six cycles of chemotherapy with Doxorubicin and Ifosamide.
  • October 2017   CT scan and MRI confirmed the cancer had recurred. There was a 2.4 x 2.2 cm tumour growing close to the right upper pulmonary vein and it presses onto the vein. Biopsy confirmed it was the same high-grade sarcoma.
  • November to December 2017 –ML underwent chemotherapy again with two cycles of Gemcitabine + Docetaxel.
  • Along with chemotherapy, ML took part in a double-blind clinical study for antibody therapy Olaratumab. After completing the treatment, the tumour shrunk to 1 cm.
  • 27 December 2017 –ML did a CT scan of the whole body. The cancer had spread to her brain.
  • January 2018 –ML underwent surgery to remove the tumour in her brain but the tumour near her heart was left untouched.

ML refused to continue with further medical treatment. ML’s husband started googling and found CA Care. ML told her doctors she wanted to go back to Malaysia to seek herbal treatment. The German doctor agreed to ML trying our herbs. So, ML came home with the full knowledge and support of her doctor.

This was my reply to ML’s email.

Thank you for your email. I was wondering who you are and why you want to come and see me. You ae from Germany and I am in Malaysia, half a world away.

Since Netherlands is so near you, why don’t you see Dr YY. You can get her contact from the internet. I have read her two books, but I have never met her personally. But that is the way to start. See her and ask for her advice.

I also know Germany is very famous for alternative cancer therapy – why don’t you scout around and go to these clinics – if you need help to find where and what, let me know. I may be able to help.

Sarcoma is a very difficult problem. See, even chemo did not work. You asked to see me in Penang – you are welcome to see me. Are you from Penang?

In early February 2018, ML, her husband, and her mother came to our center. ML was prescribed a variety of herbal teas for her brain and sarcoma. Occasionally, I received updates of ML’s progress.

ML and her husband returned to Germany. While in Germany ML did write occasionally to update me.

10 May 2018 – ML went for her routine check-up. The tumour has shrunk in size. ML wrote:

A very big thanks to you from me and my whole family. My oncologist here in Germany is so curious about my therapy and would like to know more. So, I gave him your website.  They haven’t seen such improvement before with chemo and radiation especially with my rare sarcoma. Thank you once again.

While in Germany, before ML came to see us, she had a primary tumour located near her heart. While the doctor removed the tumour in her brain, this primary tumour near her heart was left untouched. In December the size of that tumour was 5.5 x 3.2 cm. After following our therapy this primary tumour has shrunk to 3.2 x 1.9 cm. Also, the cancer has not spread to any other sites.

27 August 2018  – I received this email.

Dear Dr Chris K H Teo,

I am a doctor from the Oncology department at the University clinic in XX, Germany.

A patient of mine, Mrs. ML has consulted you and has had great success with the herbal tea and capsules you gave her. Now we are very keen on finding out what kind of herbs you used for the tea and what the ingredients of the capsules are. Would you please list them for us?

It would be very appreciated. Thank you very much.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. CM

What a pleasant surprise. This email gave me the impression that this German doctor is so caring! Very rare indeed. I replied and asked ML to give her a copy of my book as a token of appreciation.

19 October 2018 – Early in the morning, I switched on the computer. There is this message from ML.

Hello Dr. Teo,

I had my MRI of brain and thorax last week. The results are great. Doctors cannot see anything in the pictures. In other words, it can be said the tumor … has now disappeared. Thank God that we get to know you and the herbal teas work well. Best regards.

Below are pictures of the mass around her heart (top) and a tumour in her brain (below).

  • 14 November 2023 – five years later. ML came to our centre with her mother. She looked so great and healthy! What a wonderful blessing to see her so well and happy.
  • ML said she has gone back to her doctor for check-up every six months. So far, there is no sign of any cancer recurrence.
  • She led a normal life but unfortunately, she had kidney failure due to the toxicity of the chemo drugs she had earlier. No, neither ML nor her oncologist did not blame our herbs for this kidney failure. They expected that to happen!
  • ML goes for dialysis three times a week. Each session last 4.5 hours.
  • She is still able to work in the morning.
  • ML said that her “world collapsed” when she first heard of her kidney failure. But now she is accepting life as it is.
  • Her friend who had the same type of cancer like her took our herbs for a month and then gave up. She opted for chemo. She died just after a few months of chemo.

My closing words …

We recognize that our work at CA Care is at odd with current medical thinking. Modern medicine wants to kill or shrink the tumour. And in the process kill the patients too. In The War on Cancer – an anatomy of failure; Dr.  Guy Faguet, a cancer researcher, and medical doctor, wrote:

  • An objective analysis of cancer chemotherapy outcomes over the last three decades reveals that … the cell-killing paradigm has failed to achieve its objective … a model based on flawed premises with unattainable goal, cytotoxic chemotherapy in its present form will neither eradicate cancer nor alleviate suffering” (pg.89).

At CA Care we teach patients to live with their cancers. Concentrate on what matters. We don’t know how to cure your cancer and we don’t pretend we can cure your cancer either. But like in the case studies presented in this book, we know how to make your life better – if you can eat, sleep, walk, have no pains, and can have a bit longer of meaningful life – what else do you want?

Now, we say – Patients, you have a choice! Whatever you choose, it is your prerogative. But it is you, and I emphasize – YOU and YOU alone, who are responsible for that choice.
